Dame Helen Mirren  - Chelsea Flower Show 2013 Visited the Burncoose stand which was designed to show how a garden exhibit would have been seen in the early days of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Ringo Starr and his wife Barbara Bach opened the Water Aid garden which was inspired by Water Aids good work within India. He was quick to highlight how clean drinkable water is essential and we should all concentrate on this as a basic human need that should be filled.

Jamie Oliver meets with the team at the Trail Finders, Australian Garden

Now one person we keep seeing at this years Chelsea Flower Show is Jamie Oliver. If you think he is everywhere on TV. The he is everywhere at Chelsea Flower Show. They must have cloned him.
Jamie appeard to be very impressed by the Trailfinders Australian Garden presented by Flemmings.
We did not get an interview with Jamie but he did ssy how are you going mate.

Getting ready for Chelsea

Today we picked up our Press Passes for Chelsea Flower Show 2013. We had to pick them up a day before  the main press day as we wanted to get in at 5:30am to bring you some early shots from the show before the crowds. 
We were handed two flourescent high visibility vests and our show passes. The vests were one size fits all. Our photographer Georgina who is very petite looked a bit like a child wearing her fathers oversized shirt. 
We took a quick wall around the area surrounding the show and took a few shots of the local neighbourhood which has some fantastic period property. Some of the courtyard gardens are very impressive.

Home and Gardening - New look 2013


We are very pleased to intoduce the new look website for homeandgardening.co.uk. Home and Gardening was established in 2001 and was extremely popular from it's launch.
The website relaunch
The site was getting a little old and was built in HTML so updates were taking a while. So we decided to do a complete revamp of the old website making it completely automated and bringing in some fantastic new features including the ability to add image and video galleries, allowing online deals, classifieds, article submissions and event promotion.
